Viettel's project named: "Connect education network", this solution by Viettel made on the basis of fully funding initiatives. Viettel provided broadband connections free of charge for an unlimited time to all schools and educational institutions. The beneficiaries include kindergartens, primary, secondary and high schools, public education centres, training centres, district educational departments and offices, and vocational training centres (called include as school). After 3 years of deployment, total of connected schools (29,559) to 100% by the end of 2010. Among these schools, 72% got broadband connections. Significantly, broadband penetration per household has gone up 3 times to reach 20% in 2011. 100% computers of teachers and education officers got connected in 2011. Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan highly praised Viettel's endeavours and acknowledged that "Investing for education reflects Viettel's long term vision because raising people's awareness is sustainable foundation for the country's development. The event of getting 100% of schools connected to Internet has marked a turning point in the history of Vietnam's Education development".
